Research on risks in family firms has been burgeoning during the last decades. In the context of family firms, risks can be particularly relevant because the family dimension typically goes well beyond the mere economic and legal aspects. Previous reviews of the literature have focused on the entrepreneurial dimension, leaving out the organizational and financial dimensions.
