Procurement processes and supply networks. An inquiry into Italian furniture and wood-working machinery industries
The paper analyses the process of chain positioning in the Italian furniture industry by equipment manufacturers and their procurement management strategy. The perspective developed is that of a supply network; discussion is about how firms can cope with the relationship processes in the supply network and appropriate the major value created by increasing the control of critical assets within the whole network.
