Development Features of the Lego Company History

The company began to expand in to new frontiers of the toy industry. Four decades ago LEGO did start to target girls with the introduction of furnishings and dollhouses; in 1974 this introduced the first man figures, named Minifigures; and in 1979 it expanded in space with sets presenting astronaut minifigures, rockets, lunar rovers and spaceships. The Scala series first showed that same year, a line of jewelry elements aimed toward young girls. This era also saw the creation of a supervision structure, with Godtfred Kirk Christiansen’s son Kjeld Kirk Kristiansen subscribing to the managerial staff and working to modernize the company’s manufacturing methods.

The 1971s also saw the introduction of something that allowed customers to choose certain stones they wanted to purchase and create their own types, rather than buy pre-made products; it was popular with adults, as well as kids. In the same decade, Lego branched out into old territory with all the Castle template, and in 80 the company added their first teach sets to its collection.

In 1989 Lego released the Pirate topic, and with it numerous types of pirate boats, desert islands and treasure. The organization also broadened its array of facial expressions, adding beards, eye patches and lipstick in addition to the normal two eye and laugh. Some old Lego debt collectors resented these changes, selecting the more straightforward faces of earlier types.

As Seglar expanded to a huge international corporation, it had to find ways to satisfy the needs of their big name potential buyers like Aim for, Wal-Mart and Toys ‘R’ Us, which in turn demanded greater selections and faster shipment times. Maintain with these demands, the company began to reduce total production coming back new products by looking into making more by using computerized assemblage systems.
