The rising of e-commerce in tourism market introduced the problem of multi-channel management in the travel industry. Multi-channel consumer behaviour is a well known problem considering the self production of distribution services by tourists as an alternative channel competing with travel agencies, tour operators and the other firms which organize travels. This article shows some of the results of two surveys conducted by Osservatorio Viaggi TradeLab on the consumer buying behaviour of organized and do it yourself travellers.
