Profili applicativi delle valutazioni di convenienza economica: il caso del biogas per la produzione di energia
Renewable energies are still scarcely used in Italy according to the indications from the European Union. More specifically, biogas is not very much used because it is not considered highly profitable.
This article intends to present an economic investment appraisal for the utilization of the biogas generated in two dumps in the Province of Vicenza. The classical methods for economic convenience analysis will be used, i.e. Internal Rate of Return and Payback Period.
The results indicate that not only are the investments highly profitable, but also they can be recovered in a very short time.
